There's too many spamers comming to this humble site, I have to cope with them seriously now.

I searched a lot solutions to anti-spam on web form, but there seems no a very
satisfactory general solution, so I finally just use this simple maptcha
solution that let the user do a multiplication before posting.

This is simple, and it can be broken easily by any determined spammer who want
to crack this humble site specifically, which I think it's not the case, I guess
most spammers come to this site just by scanning web forms online, and this site
has no much value for them to write dedicated cracking code.

izico wrote at Wed, 11 Mar 2009 10:42:39 UTC

ucweb 6.3 is much better.

izico wrote at Sun, 08 Feb 2009 03:25:48 UTC

Never thought of that a spammer will come to this humble site to advertise his/her products. But it occurs now, he/she seems to post once everyday for 2 days by now.

Captcha is too hard to recognize most of the time, simple maptcha is easily cracked by determined spammer, If there's a better solution?

This is posted from ucweb of windows mobile, rather bad browser.

izico wrote at Tue, 30 Dec 2008 12:30:06 UTC

This is posted from Maxthon2 of Windows XP.

My friend told me that he viewed my site with this browser yesterday, but I can't find his access log, so I download and try it now.

I install it both on my Gentoo Linux Wine and VirtualBox Windows XP, I can see the access log of both.I'm a little confused now, why his access using this browser is not logged?

Ok,this is just log system of StatCounter, I'll check Opera oslinks and GA later because GA only show data after 2 days.

About this browser, I dislike it.
1. My site uses fluid design, every browser (more than 20 I have tried by now on desktop, mobile) render this fluid design well, but this browser fail to render fluid design after I scale to some degree.
2. it has the same quirk as IE, ie, it don't wrap lines in <pre> element, but all other browsers except IE based browsers wrap, maybe i should consider to fix this IE bug on my site now.
3. I guess this browser is based on the same layout engine as IE7 but IE6, because the float image of my barbarian alike logo is rendered correctly.
4. Wikipadae say that this is the No.2 browser in China, I really don't understand how can it be? It's far away from Firefox, Opera, Safari in quality.

Things in China is really abnormal for my little brain to understand.

I guess this is just the root reason why I'm so poor even in China's standard, and why I have to survive on the outsourcing contracts from westerners and indians, while many of my friends in the past have a much much wealthier and nicer life than me, and I worked harder than most of them after I became a professional programmer 10 years ago.

I recently accidentally found hot media coverage and gov support of a guy named John Deng Zhong, one of the top famous elites in China IT circle now, my classmate of USTC 8707.

I know the rocket of my home country has gone to the space several times, and the propaganda said that our space adventure are tens of times cheaper than US and Russia, and everything is home brewn, including the clothes that cost millions of R&D budget which can be bought from US or Russia in few money in my view, and as a low class citizen I just know that I will starve to death if i do anything that's not competitive in the world.

And 2 days ago I just gave my old quilt to a homeless wanderer who survive by searching foods in the area near my house everyday, because I heard from a Cantonese newspaper weeks ago that 2 wanderers in Canton is dead for the rapidly arriving cold weather last time.

I don't want to see one more dead near my house this time with the cold weather arriving again.

I sleep well everyday, I never feel the stink of the asylum of 3 NO people of our public security office that I stayed for weeks 10 years ago.

This is China, this is my homeland, this is where my beloved mom dreaming to travel all around from her maiden day, this is where she worked so hard in order to be a model worker for our great party, this is where she left her beloved son forever without letting him to fullfill her dream with her together.

Jesus, if there's really heaven, let my mom in, she is a caring and benevolent woman.

Merry Chistmas to all Christians.

Asked many sellers in mobile phone market,no any one hears about Android,or Google phone,or gphone.

Their confused eyes seem to look at an alien who is asking them something alien.

The Chinese market seems really so alien to me now,and I have be alienated from the prevalent trend and culture and elites too.

Ok,let it be,alien.

izicochang wrote at Tue, 09 Dec 2008 16:00:21 UTC

Go to mobile phone market in North HuaQiang Street today.

Too much phones to make me a little dazzled. And most seems pretty.

Seen a iPhone clone, RMB600, another one that said to be iPhone clone king, RMB1000.

I want to try the 3G or GPRS,no way,but it's said that it works well.

Both the hardware and software seems rather pretty.

Just not sure if they support the full Apple SDK or jailbreak iPhone development kits?

Chinese is really great at cloning and pirating.

I don't know what to say about this,I'm just too old and old fashioned to judge their action, and the current Chinese mobile phone market is not comprehensible to me.

I'm not sure if writing Android application will make a living for me later? If Android can survive in China? And if Android survive, and even my program is good enough to survive, will the pirates in China let me sell any commercial software to survive?

Finally, the Trolltech greenphone is sold out.

So need to repair the other phone for use, lucky that it's just a small problem to be quick to repair to work now.

After using Qtopia phone for 1 year without any browser experience,it's nice that I can use IE,Opera Mini,Opera Mobile on the Windows Mobile 5 phone that given to me by a previous boss of me, Jelimi Zhao.

Thanks,Jelimi,Thanks for your support in my hard time.

This is posted from an iPhone browser emulator(http://iphonetester.com/),
not very convenient, but give me a rough idea about how my site looks like in Apple iPhone.

izicochang wrote at Tue, 18 Nov 2008 04:38:38 UTC

I'm one of the first to register a Google App Engine account and got one when it's free available to anybody.

But it seems that I don't understand the SDK from the beginning(April or May,I've forgotten),because I even don't know what's HTML/CSS.

After learning the basics of HTML and CSS from the Opera Web Standards Curriculum(http://www.opera.com/wsc/),and the standards themselves,I'm capable to understand the SDK,and I have finished learning the SDK in last week(of course,i need only to learn basics,I'll learn more when there's need in my project).

But I feel that I don't know what and how to do a web project now.

I guess maybe I need to read a Internet Architecture book to have some idea about what's Internet application, and how to develop Internet application from a high level viewpoint.

But I've found no very latest book of this kind online, and the best i find online is these two books by Philip Greenspun:
1.Software Engineering for Internet Applications (http://philip.greenspun.com/seia/)
1. Philip and Alex's Guide to Web Publishing(http://philip.greenspun.com/panda/)

But these two books are all published 5 years ago,and their contents seem to be Web 1.0 only,no any Web 2.0 features in the book.

Is there any other latest high quality books about Internet application architecture online now?By high quality,I mean books of the quality to be a textbook for MIT or UC Berkeley.

Or you have any other shortcut ways to help me to be a good and solid web developer in a shorter time?

Any feedback about this will be very appreciated by me.

This is posted from the text mode Lynx browser of Linux.
This is my default text mode browser, and I keep all my bookmarks in this browser, because it's very convenient to edit my bookbarks in this browser.
And this browser has the one of the most powerful editing ability, because it integrate well with Vim and Emacs.

This is posted from Opera Mini browser of a mobile phone. It's a nice mobile browser, but not as great as the browser of Apple iPhone and Google Android, but much better than most others such as Nokia's or Microsoft's.

This is posted from Google Android emulator.

This is really the most sexy mobile phone that I've ever seen besides Apple iPhone, and it's open source for me to control my phone fully,I have finally a phone that just like my Gentoo Linux desktop, that is fully in control of myself.

I need never worry about the kind of infringement of the basic human right of an individual such as the act of Tom-skype of China.

And this is the only mobile phone that I can type a lot in browser just like in my desktop computer conveniently,so nice to not to love it.

I love you,Android.

Thanks,Google.
